New laptop!

I just picked up a heavy duty skockproof, dustproof business laptop because I hate flimsy things. And I did what every proud new laptop owner does: I clicked on "Internet Explorer" for the first...and last time. Downloaded Chrome, of course.

  1. What kind of specs does that thing have? I was looking at getting a new laptop this holiday season but I didn't find the perfect one for me. I've given chrome a try a few times but it still has yet to beat out Firefox for me.

    1. 8GB RAM and 500GB storage...my needs are simple. Web browsing, one video editing program and storage for images/vids. I don't game or anything like that. I also don't like change, this thing runs Win7 Pro and is solid as a rock...in fact it's the same as the work computers I used at my last job. Big, thick, brushed aluminum and the lid locks closed. I like big buttons that click...hahaha. I even went out of my way to find a new dash stereo that ISN'T touchscreen. I want the big round volume knob and buttons with the satisfying clicks. So much easier and long lasting.

  2. Nice, I don't game either. No time for that but I was kinda hoping to find a good deal on a 15.6" laptop with the intel I7 chip. My Lenovo with the I5 is about 2-3 years old and I know that the new I5's are better but it's hard for me to buy something that sounds so much the same when I just want to upgrade. I don't want anything crazy fancy but an illuminated keyboard is nice to have and I'd like speakers on top this time. Oh well though I'm putting that on hold for a bit. Been seeing a few deals pop up on Craigslist for Class B's lately so we'll see what happens. I have a friend checking out a pleasure way for me tomorrow as I've been working 10.5 hour days and it's a few hours away from me but right next to his work.

  3. New for you but in reality it's a refurbished 3-4 yrs old. The style of the Core I-5 Intel-inside decal on the palm-rest shows that it's a version-3 processor and we're up to version 6 now...

    1. I explained that in the video last week. I purposely wanted a tough, shockproof laptop with an older OS. I am not a new-tech guy. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1AQasoiZGOk
